Quarry Bank Mill 30th July

Schoolchildren in period costume at Styal

“Are We There Yet” trip to Quarry Bank Mill – Message from Mick Richings:

Hello everyone, as you may be aware Tony has stepped down after three very successful years, so a big thank you to him.

As a first outing I’m planning a visit to the National Trust Property – Quarry Bank, Styal on Tuesday 30th July. Arriving after the site opens at 10.30am and depart at approx. 3pm. The plan is to travel by coach picking up at Grassington, Skipton and Silsden, although members can meet us there.

As Quarry Bank is a NT property it would be helpful if you’d let me know if you’re a member, as we’ll be applying for group admission for those who aren’t members.

The property consists of the Mill, Apprentice House, very extensive gardens and much more. The plan is to have a guided tour of the Apprentice and if there is interest a guide for the Mill, for which there is a separate charge.

  • Could let me know if you’d like to join us for the day,
  • Travel by coach or own transport
  • NT members
  • Guided tour of the Apprentice House
  • Guided tour of the Mill

The cost will depend on the interest shown.

If you are interested please contact Mick Richings: mailto:yahr@cravenu3a.org.uk
